Medical Transportation

To provide medical transportation services to registered band members to access medically required health services to the nearest appropriate facility.

Medical Transportation is offers the following services in accordance with the NIHB General Program Directive, NIHB Medical Transportation Directive, NIHB Medical Transportation Policy Framework and regional guidelines. • Transportation to attend scheduled medical appointments in Wikwemikong, Little Current and Sudbury. • Assist community members with Health Canada’s Prior Approval Process to attend scheduled medical appointments outside our service with mileage, meals and accommodations. • Assisting community members to attend their dialysis treatments in Little Current / Sudbury.
